sk hynix releases peb110 ssd for data centers: 32 gt/s transfer speed, up to 8tb, double the performance of the previous generation, 30% higher energy efficiency, and first deployment of spdm

peb110 introduction

peb110 uses the fifth generation of pcie, which has a bandwidth twice as high as the current fourth generation (gen4) and a data transfer speed of 32 gt/s (gigabit transfers per second), thus doubling the performance of the previous generation and improving energy efficiency by more than 30%.

sk hynix has developed three capacity versions for this product: 2tb (terabyte), 4tb and 8tb, and supports ocp version 2.5 to improve compatibility in global data centers.

sk hynix applied spdm (security protocols and data model) to its ssd products for data centers for the first time, greatly enhancing information security functions.

as cyber attacks against data centers continue to increase, the company believes that the peb110 equipped with spdm will be a product that meets customers' information security requirements.

shipping status

the company is currently working with global data center customers to verify the peb110 and plans to start mass production of the product and supply it to the market in the second quarter of next year after verification.
