at the cosco shipping booth, four transport ship models were lined up in order. guo lujun, business director of cosco shipping fujian, told reporters that the ships on display were all newly built, among which the lng dual-fuel new car carrier "minjiangkou" just completed its maiden voyage at the end of july this year.

guo lujun said: "the 'minjiangkou' is a new energy ship that we independently produced. it is mainly used to transport cars from china to europe. it has a load capacity of 7,500 spaces and a cruising range of about 12,000 nautical miles."

guo lujun said that the ship adopts a number of advanced green environmental protection technologies and can achieve a carbon reduction rate of more than 24% after it is put into operation. taking a typical round-trip voyage from china to europe as an example, the use of lng as an alternative fuel can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 2,100 tons per voyage.
