at the scene, dai jianye, director of the economic and technological development bureau of the macao special administrative region government, mentioned that the total amount of mobile payment transactions in macao last year increased 22 times compared with four years ago. the bureau has launched a digital upgrade plan for small and medium-sized enterprises for four consecutive years to support traditional small and medium-sized enterprises to use technological tools to improve operational efficiency and enable enterprises to improve quality development. this cooperation will enable macao's electronic payment to keep pace with the development of technology, further optimize the electronic payment environment, and promote the development of the digital economy.

it is reported that the palm-swipe payment has been applied in many industries in the mainland, further improving the actual efficiency of users in payment and gate-passing scenarios. for example, when renting a power bank, the user process has been simplified from 4 steps to 2 steps; in campus restaurants, the efficiency of serving meals has increased by more than 60%. for macau merchants, the wechat palm-swipe service jointly launched this time can help merchants improve payment efficiency and promote the transformation of macau's digital economy. at present, more than 60 shops and locations, including the galaxy macau hotel, support palm-swipe verification and payment functions.
