recently, the "silver technology partner program" focused on three finalist co-creation projects for innovative solutions to help the elderly with technology. the "silver technology partner program" was jointly initiated by the china academy of information and communications technology, the china aging development foundation, and tencent ssv time lab, and supported by the social value investment alliance (shenzhen) throughout the process, linking industry, academia, and research and other ecological partners, aiming to advocate social innovation forces to pay attention to aging issues, and by providing tencent's technology and connection capabilities, integrating high-quality resources, and supporting teams in the growth or acceleration stage of the project through technology assistance, ecological connection, and public welfare catalysis, to improve the intelligence level of health and elderly care products and services, and accelerate the large-scale implementation of high-quality smart technology products and services to help the elderly.

as one of the important activities of the "digital age-friendly china tour", the "silver technology partner program" was officially launched in may this year. based on the four major issues of safety protection, health protection, home care and emotional care, it identifies and supports smart products and digital solutions for home-based elderly care.

in late august, the "silver technology partner program" teamed up with 15 high-potential technology-assisted elderly projects to conduct a four-day acceleration camp and roadshow in shenzhen, injecting new impetus into the accelerated growth of high-potential projects and jointly exploring the future development path of technology-assisted elderly care.

the accelerator course was jointly planned by tencent ssv and tencent qingteng. it focuses on the macro policies of the silver industry, industrial investment, user research, and tencent technology applications. through course lectures, field research, cooperative exchanges and other forms, it further helps project teams improve their understanding of the industry and their ability to apply product scenarios. finally, based on the opinions of the expert mentors presented at the roadshow on august 26, three co-creation projects were selected, and they will be provided with funding, ecological resources, and in-depth co-creation support in the future.

as one of the three co-creation projects selected for the plan, the "intelligent monitoring solution for safety guardian based on millimeter-wave radar" is designed to solve the problem that elderly people living alone are unable to call for help when an accident occurs. the traditional method of calling for help requires someone to take the initiative to initiate a call for help (such as an emergency button), and when elderly people living alone encounter unexpected situations such as falls, falling out of bed, and sudden illness, they are in urgent need of "automatic warnings." the solution uses 4d millimeter-wave radar technology to provide intelligent vital signs monitoring for the elderly. when the radar detects abnormal conditions such as falls, abnormal breathing, leaving the bed, and staying in the elderly, it will initiate a voice call to the guardian to directly confirm the situation on the scene and whether help is needed. the solution is suitable for health care, medical care, hotels, smart homes, security and other scenarios. in terms of accuracy, the 4d millimeter-wave radar has achieved an accuracy of 99% in bed leaving recognition in a single-person environment, and the monitoring error of the respiratory rate is less than 1bpm, but it still needs to be further optimized in a multi-person environment, and a new version is under development.

the "intelligent nursing robot project" designed for disabled elderly people is to deal with the dilemma of "one person's disability, the whole family's imbalance" often faced in the field of disabled elderly care. the most painful pain point for disabled elderly people is the problem of incontinence. this project is committed to becoming a "good helper for incontinence of paralyzed elderly people." this intelligent nursing robot is a wearable intelligent device for the lower body. it realizes automated care through automatic sensing, extraction, washing, drying and disinfection. it has humanized health sterilization technology and original 90° turning over to prevent side leakage technology. it improves the experience of incontinent elderly people through a complete set of intelligent control systems. this product solves the five major problems of difficult cleaning, easy infection, strong odor, poor privacy and high intensity in traditional care. through the intelligent system, the heavy work in traditional care is compressed to about 10 minutes a day, greatly reducing the difficulty and intensity of care.

the "electronic wind instrument project" focuses on the emotional care and mental health issues of the elderly. through the innovative research and development of electronic instruments, not only a variety of western musical instruments such as trumpets and saxophones are integrated into one instrument, but also various folk music timbres such as flutes, suonas, and horse-head fiddles are collected through high-quality folk music real sampling plans to meet the diverse music and entertainment needs of the elderly. this also revitalizes china's ancient and excellent national musical instruments in the digital age. the project lowers the threshold for learning music through the innovative model of software + hardware + internet, and is very friendly to users without basic skills. it takes 15 minutes to learn and two weeks to perform on stage. practicing electric wind instruments not only makes you happy, but also exercises your eyes, fingers and lung capacity during the performance. with one pipe per person, you can form a community band without other instruments, which can enrich the social activities of the elderly.

in terms of ai technology, the "silver technology partner program" has received support from technical teams such as tencent cloud intelligence, tencent tianlai laboratory, tencent hunyuan large model, and tencent ieg quality management department's virtual-real interaction team. it will provide selected projects with a full range of services such as ai computing power, ai development, ai product solutions, and digital transformation methods. for example, ai technologies such as speech recognition (asr), speech synthesis (tts), and sound replication required for voice interaction, hearing aid ai algorithms and firmware support, distress word detection technology, chinese creation capabilities under large language models, logical reasoning capabilities in complex contexts, as well as visual motion capture technology, cloud-based real-time rendering and virtual-reality interaction capabilities, etc.
