on september 10, a reporter asked: we have noticed that since june, china has been maintaining communication and consultation with the eu on the eu's anti-subsidy case against china's electric vehicles. what is the latest progress?

a: since the eu announced the launch of an anti-subsidy investigation on chinese electric vehicles, the chinese government and the industry have been committed to properly resolving the issue through dialogue and consultation. on august 20, the european commission released a pre-final ruling disclosure. although we cannot agree with or accept the final ruling disclosure, we still maintain the utmost sincerity and hope to work hard to resolve friction through dialogue and consultation and seek a solution acceptable to both sides.

on september 9, vice minister of commerce li fei and his delegation held talks with director-general of the european commission's directorate-general for trade, weyand, in brussels, belgium, and once again expressed to the eu their desire to properly resolve china-eu economic and trade frictions through dialogue and consultation and to reasonably accommodate each other's concerns.

the electric vehicle anti-subsidy case is complex and has a wide impact. it is challenging for china and the eu to reach an agreement through consultations. however, china believes that as long as the eu shows sincerity and moves towards each other, the concerns of both sides can be resolved through consultations. china is willing to continue to work closely with the eu to strive to reach a solution that is in the common interests of both sides and in line with wto rules as soon as possible, and promote the healthy and stable development of china-eu economic and trade relations.
