rising food prices push up cpi

in august, affected by factors such as high temperature and heavy rain, the national cpi increased seasonally month-on-month, and the year-on-year growth rate continued to expand. from a year-on-year perspective, the cpi rose by 0.6%, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the previous month. among them, food prices rose by 2.8% from the previous month. among food, the price of fresh vegetables rose by 21.8%, an increase of 18.5 percentage points from the previous month; the price of pork rose by 16.1%, a decrease of 4.3 percentage points from the previous month.
