on the southwest side of zhangjiawan ancient town, rows of neat prefabricated resettlement houses have sprung up. the six small villages resettlement housing project, the largest livelihood project in the sub-center of the city, has taken root and blossomed, and new progress has been made in the surrounding road projects. recently, the beijing development and reform commission approved the project proposal (in lieu of a feasibility study report) for the surrounding roads of the six small villages resettlement housing, including zhangjiawan street in the sub-center of beijing, further supporting the residents' dream of a safe and comfortable home.

zhangjiawan street starts from the west side of the sixth ring road in the west and ends at zhangcai road in the east. the total length of the road is about 1.26 kilometers. it is the main external travel and municipal energy channel in the region. shiyuan street starts from shiyuan west road in the west and ends at shiyuan east road in the east. the total length of the road is about 0.79 kilometers. it is the east-west backbone transportation channel and municipal energy channel in the region. shiyuan west road starts from shiyuan street in the south and ends at zhangjiawan street in the north. the total length of the road is about 0.45 kilometers. the red line width is 35 meters. it has four lanes in both directions. it is the north-south travel channel and municipal energy channel in the region. shiyuan south street starts from shiyuan street in the west and ends at the west bank of liangshui river in the east. the total length of the road is about 1.1 kilometers. it is an important east-west channel and municipal energy channel for the resettlement housing of liuxiao village. shiyuan middle second road starts from shiyuan south street in the south and ends at zhangjiawan street in the north. the total length of the road is about 0.77 kilometers. it is the main north-south channel in the region and also an important municipal energy channel in the region.

among them, the red lines of zhangjiawan street, shiyuan west road, and shiyuan south street are all 35 meters wide, with four lanes in both directions; the red line of shiyuan street is 50 meters wide, with six lanes in both directions; the red line of shiyuan middle second road is 30 meters wide, with four lanes in both directions. the five projects are based on different requirements of urban main roads and secondary roads, and corresponding projects such as bridges, transportation, lighting, greening, rainwater, sewage, water supply, and recycled water are implemented simultaneously along the roads. it is expected to be completed and put into use in june 2025.

a relevant person in charge of the municipal development and reform commission said that after the completion of the heartwarming people's livelihood road, it will promote the formation of an efficient and convenient road network framework that is smooth internally and externally connected, further connect key areas such as the universal studios cultural tourism zone, zhangjiawan ancient town and design town, comprehensively enhance the region's external traffic capacity, and optimize the road network system of the urban sub-center; at the same time, strengthen the regional municipal guarantee capabilities to meet the travel needs of surrounding residents.
