among the 2024 undergraduate freshmen, "beautiful coincidences" and "wonderful fates" gathered at the welcome ceremony. the 84-year-old grandfather, mr. rao xianfu, studied at the school (daye normal university) from 1959 to 1962; his father, rao xuesong, studied at the school (daye normal university) in 1986; spanning more than 60 years, the third generation rao mingtao was admitted to the school's environmental engineering major, continuing the "three generations of workers".

according to the admissions office of hubei polytechnic university, this year the university has admitted 4,423 new undergraduates from 14 colleges. during the period, each college has come up with new ways to welcome the new students: a check-in wall next to the tent, a lifelike robot dog on the ground, free mineral water and mung bean soup on the table... the full sense of ceremony has shortened the distance between the new students and the school and eliminated the sense of strangeness of the new students.
