in june this year, tongwei reached a cooperation agreement with renewable energy developers in the middle east and africa to jointly build a 140mw large-scale ground photovoltaic project in south africa, all of which will use high-efficiency n-type photovoltaic modules exclusively supplied by tongwei. this is also the first large-scale ground photovoltaic project that tongwei has landed in africa. starting from august, tongwei will supply 20mw of products every month for 7 consecutive months, and it is expected to be connected to the grid for power generation in 2025. according to estimates, after the project is connected to the grid, it can generate more than 325gw·h of clean energy each year, which can meet the electricity needs of about 25,000 households in south africa, and has both economic and social benefits.
