on september 1, 2009, the former ministry of health, the ministry of human resources and social security, the state administration of traditional chinese medicine and the china disabled persons' federation jointly formulated and promulgated the "management measures for blind medical massage", which determined the examination system for blind medical massage personnel. article 62 of the "traditional chinese medicine law of the people's republic of china" implemented in 2017 stipulates: "if a blind person obtains the qualification of a blind medical massage personnel in accordance with relevant national regulations, he or she may provide medical massage services in the form of opening a business individually or in a medical institution." the examination for blind medical massage personnel is an examination to evaluate whether blind medical massage personnel have the professional knowledge and technical level required for their practice. it is an examination established with reference to the national qualification examination for practicing physicians.

it is understood that the 2024 national unified examination will start on september 7, and the hubei examination area examination will be held in wuhan from september 7 to 8. this time, hubei has set up 3 computerized examination rooms for the comprehensive written examination, and 2 examination groups and 6 examination stations for the practical skills examination. since 2010, hubei has organized 14 blind medical massage personnel examinations, with a total of 626 people successfully registering for the examination, 247 people passing the examination, and an average examination pass rate of 39.46%. as of june this year, there were a total of 434 people in the province holding valid blind medical massage qualifications (including those who obtained medical massage titles before the establishment of the examination system). there are currently 4 senior blind medical massage titles, 26 intermediate titles, and 119 junior titles in the province.

hubei province disabled persons employment service center held pre-exam training for candidates from september 2 to 6, providing pre-exam counseling, computerized examination system application training and objective examination equipment operation training, so that candidates can review with peace of mind, consolidate theoretical knowledge and enhance test-taking skills. from september 7 to 8, the provincial disabled persons employment service center was responsible for the organization and implementation of the examination. a total of nearly 60 examination staff members, including invigilators, examiners and team leaders from various regions, participated in the organization and implementation of the examination.
