where should we start to attract and cultivate talents? from july to august this year, zhong county held the first "loyalty to talents, loyalty to practice" summer camp for college students, organizing 1,000 college students from zhong county to go to urban and rural areas under the scorching sun and in the hot summer, so that students can get to know their hometown through practice and their hometown can discover talents through practice.
this activity is one of the second "'zhong' loves talents, 'zhou' is waiting for you" series of talent attraction activities. it adopts the "1+10" model, namely "1 launching ceremony" + "10 activity teams", and organizes 1,000 zhongxian college students to participate in on-the-job internships, publicity and research, volunteer services, literary and artistic field trips, educational practices and other activities to enhance the social practice ability of young talents, cultivate their feelings of loving, promoting and building their hometown, and guide them to use actions to contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of their hometown.
on august 1, 10 teams were awarded flags and set off. subsequently, the zhongxian education committee organized a social practice education and study tour team of 50 college students to go deep into the zhongzhou museum, paisenbai, fengyin garden, huanghua island, fengyan three kingdoms and other social practice study bases, conduct more than 20 investigations and research and development training, collect 28 suggestions for student study tours, and form more than 50 research reports.
the agricultural and rural committee of zhong county organized a rural revitalization team to longshan village, bashan town, and xiaoli village, mozi township, to carry out field training, labor practice, popular science lectures, etc., and held cultural, technological and health "three going to the countryside" activities, benefiting more than 20 growers and serving more than 400 people. the cultural and tourism committee of zhong county organized a cultural and tourism publicity team to go to zhongzhou museum to learn about the historical and cultural background, natural scenery and protection status of zhongzhou, and mobilized college students to publicize the profound history and culture and beautiful natural scenery of the "eight scenic spots of zhongzhou" through wechat moments, short videos, weibo, etc., and tell the story of zhongzhou's cultural and tourism.
in addition, youth groups such as the "return to hometown" college student volunteers, the "three going to the countryside" college student volunteers, and the western plan volunteers have also gone deep into the grassroots to carry out the "volunteer to protect children" special action for youth summer safety volunteer services, explaining safety knowledge, health knowledge, psychological counseling and other content to young people, and fully building a safety line to protect the lives and healthy growth of minors, covering 29 towns (streets), benefiting more than 1,000 children and teenagers, and distributing more than 580 youth care material packages.
"going to the grassroots and working in the workplace is a brand new social experience." zhu yuhan, a 2022 student majoring in labor and social security at chongqing three gorges university, interned at the student aid management center of the zhong county education committee during the event. her job was to review and approve students' remote loan applications and process student loans for them offline. zhu yuhan said, "this practice not only improved my professional skills and teamwork ability, but also enhanced my sense of social responsibility."
