"on the first day, i saw the flexible and sci-fi industrial robots, which ignited my passion for learning and working. intelligent manufacturing is really exciting!" liu sheng, 22, graduated from suzhou university of science and technology. in august, he joined suzhou lake electric and started his first workplace experience. "working with robots, a scene that can only be seen in science fiction movies, is my daily work."
liu sheng is "looking after" his robot "co-worker"
before officially taking up his post, liu sheng received a week of theoretical training. through basic training in automated production line equipment maintenance, component recognition, troubleshooting, etc., he initially acquired the ability to operate and maintain automated production lines. although his undergraduate major was electrical engineering and automation, liu sheng still sighed after the training, "the current level of intelligence is beyond imagination. i believe that my professional knowledge can be put to good use here."
the scene in the factory is very different from liu sheng's impression of the dirty and old traditional manufacturing industry. flexible automated robotic arms, busy and orderly conveyor belts, and the "iron men" on the production line are large in size, but they do extremely delicate work, such as spot welding, turning, balancing... every link is full of intelligence and efficiency.
at 8 o'clock in the morning, the night shift and the day shift of the smart car were handed over. the first thing liu sheng did when he got to work was to check the working status of the robot "colleagues" on the production line. the robot "colleagues" have been working all night. although they do not need to sleep or eat, liu sheng still has to pay attention to the "health" of these "colleagues" at any time to ensure smooth production. "my job is to 'take care' of them and ensure their normal operation." liu sheng's new job is to look after the 14 robots on the entire production line with his master li yuhao and perform fault inspections when necessary.
even though the frontline workers in the smart workshop already have offices independent of the workshop, liu sheng still spends a long time on the assembly line to observe the operation of different machines and processes. "it's fun to deal with robots. i really want to shake hands with such a cool robotic arm, but it never stops. it's too 'busy'!"
like liu sheng, there are 150 college students who joined lake electric this year. after theoretical study, they were assigned to different front-line workshops to hone their skills. "joining the factory" is certainly not the end, but the starting point for them to continuously exert their efforts in intelligent manufacturing and engineering technology and to gallop in the workplace with their hands and wisdom.
