on september 5, the university branch of the jinzhong city public security bureau issued a police report on the incident, saying that the deceased was hou, a missing person from taiyuan, shanxi. it has been preliminarily determined that it was suicide and a criminal case has been ruled out.

the full text of the notice is as follows:

at 16:07 on september 4, the university branch of the jinzhong public security bureau received a report from the public that a male corpse was found in the area. after receiving the report, the criminal investigation, police station, science and technology and other related police officers rushed to the scene to investigate and deal with the situation.

upon investigation, it was found that a black suv with a jin a license plate was parked in the parking space on the sidewalk on the northeast side of the intersection of dingyang road and wenhua street. there was a male deceased in the car, and residual pesticide bottles were found.

the deceased was confirmed to be a missing person from taiyuan, shanxi province, named houafter on-site investigation, surrounding visits, and forensic inspection,it was preliminarily determined that hou committed suicide and a criminal case was ruled out.at present, the public security organs are still conducting further investigations.
