at the 2024 chengdu auto show, jishi auto simultaneously unveiled two models, the jishi 01 fishing master edition and the off-road master edition. in the future, jishi auto will launch new products at a rate of one per year.

a year ago, jis 01, the first model of jis auto, was launched on the market. it focuses on hard-core off-road scenes, offers 6-seat and 7-seat layouts, is equipped with an extended-range plug-in hybrid system, and started deliveries in november of the same year.

"jishi auto will launch a facelifted model of jishi 01 next year. the overall design has been completed and it is now entering the engineering implementation stage. in addition, the second model is also under development and will be a model for the global market." yan feng, co-founder and ceo of jishi auto, revealed in an interview with a reporter from the "daily economic news".

while promoting the mass production of multiple products, jishi auto will fully launch its overseas expansion plan. at this chengdu auto show, jishi auto signed exclusive agency agreements with dealers from qatar, kuwait, azerbaijan, the philippines, and egypt, fully launching the layout of sales channels and user service systems in overseas markets such as the middle east, africa, and central asia.

in fact, overseas markets have accounted for a considerable proportion of the sales of jis 01."so far, the delivery volume of jish 01 is nearly 4,000 units, and nearly one-third of them are overseas customers." yan feng said that since the establishment of the brand, jish auto has wanted to enter the global market, and will continue to advance at its own pace.

prior to this, jish auto has entered the markets of central asia, the middle east, and southeast asia. according to the plan, in the next two to three years, jish auto will achieve sales of about 30,000 to 50,000 vehicles. in the next year, jish auto's sales in overseas markets will exceed those in the domestic market, or at least be equal.

as a veritable new car company, the outside world is full of curiosity about the financial situation of jishi automobile. it is reported that jishi automobile is backed by weiqiao group, which has considerable advantages in the research and development and manufacturing capabilities of automotive aluminum materials. its subsidiary china hongqiao (1378.hk) was once known as the "world aluminum king".

in 2023, weichai group acquired 50% of the shares of beijing lanqueling automobile, and thus took control of lingtu automobile, a hebei new energy vehicle manufacturer that once belonged to great wall motors; in july of the same year, weichai group and qingdao licang district signed a cooperation agreement on four projects including weichai new energy vehicle management headquarters and new energy vehicle central research institute; a month later, jishin automobile, jointly built by rockwell automation, weichai group and baic manufacturing, launched its first model, jishin 01.

"regarding the funding issue, weichai group will serve as the cornerstone of jishi auto and will provide the final support for users," said yan feng. however, jishi auto is not the only car brand invested by weichai group, there is also the 212 off-road vehicle.yan feng said: "brother brand 212 is positioned as more people-friendly, while jishishi is positioned as high-end."

although jis auto has its own clear plans for product planning and overseas market promotion, its first model jis 01 is also labeled as "imitation" and "substitute" because its appearance, body size, interior space and drive mode are similar to ideal l8.

in response, yan feng said: "we have never set out to compete with ideal. in fact, jishi has always been competing with land rover, because only land rover has ever said the term all-terrain luxury suv. so, including in terms of appearance,we also reproduced, learned from, and paid tribute to the classics of the range rover and defender."

it is understood that in the subsequent 2 to 3 models to be developed, jishin auto will stick to the all-terrain suv track and will continue to choose the extended-range power form.
