as the summer heats up, fruits and kitchen waste in our homes begin to pile up. in order to further enhance the awareness of community residents on waste sorting, improve everyone's knowledge and participation in waste sorting, and at the same time advocate everyone to practice a green lifestyle and enjoy a low-carbon and environmentally friendly life, on the morning of august 16, dingnanli community and a third party in waste sorting launched a "kitchen waste, green summer" waste sorting theme volunteer service activity in wujian community. the purpose of this activity is to make everyone pay more attention to waste sorting, cultivate good waste sorting habits, and make our environment better.
at the event, volunteers interacted with residents in a variety of lively and interesting ways. they organized a quiz on garbage classification, and residents actively participated in it, creating a lively atmosphere. volunteers also distributed exquisite brochures and small gifts, allowing residents to learn about garbage classification in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. in addition, volunteers also explained to residents some common misunderstandings in garbage classification, such as large bones are not kitchen waste, because they are too hard to be crushed and are not easy to biodegrade, so they have to be thrown into other garbage. there are also things like corn cobs and nut shells.
