it is understood that china star network was established on april 26, 2021 and was established by the state-owned assets supervision and administration commission of the state council. it is an important strategic layout of china in the field of satellite internet. it was established relatively late, but its positioning is on par with china telecom, china unicom and china mobile, and it is expected to become the fourth largest communications operator.

china space time is controlled by china star network, with shares held by china north industries group corporation and china mobile. it was officially established in may this year. its responsibility and mission are to build a national space-time information operation service platform, establish a national space-time operation service system, and further promote the large-scale application of beidou.

at the meeting, china time and spacethe first beidou large-scale application operating system and public beidou 1-meter precise positioning serviceaccording to the plan, before the end of the year, china time and space will launch the public beidou 1-meter precise positioning service in chongqing, and promote it nationwide in 2025. it is reported that this service can effectively solve the pain points of people's daily travel, such as frequent drift of positioning when taking a taxi, difficulty in quickly determining the direction when walking navigation, difficulty in automatic identification of main and auxiliary roads, and untimely reminders of highway exits, without adding additional equipment and costs.

chongqing, the focus of this conference, proposedthe goal of creating a 100 billion-level aerospace information industry cluster, released four categories of 16 large-scale comprehensive demonstration application scenarios of aerospace information. the "four categories" include: serving major national strategies (prevention and control of dangerous rock disasters in the three gorges reservoir area, smart shipping on the yangtze river, etc.); enabling the development of new quality productivity (dispatching management of changan's new factory, yongchuan autonomous driving test base, refined management of low-altitude airspace, etc.); serving the people's better life (seamless navigation of the jiefangbei underground ring road, comprehensive application scenarios such as urban shared electric motorcycle supervision, etc.); improving the level of social governance modernization (smart supervision of jinyun mountain, safety guarantee of large-scale activities in important locations, etc.).

the scale application of beidou is accelerating

the beidou system is a global satellite navigation system independently built and operated by my country, with global positioning, navigation and timing service capabilities. at present, the construction of beidou iii infrastructure has been completed, but the application penetration rate in downstream industries is relatively low.

in addition to chongqing, many provinces and cities in china are actively promoting the pilot application of beidou. on august 30, foshan city, guangdong province, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with beidou aerospace satellite application technology group, planning to invest tens of billions of yuan in large projects to build an important beidou innovation achievement transformation site, industrial development cluster and large-scale application demonstration base in the country.

it is foreseeable that more local provinces and cities will participate in the process of large-scale application of beidou.

in july this year, the ministry of industry and information technology issued the "notice on the selection of pilot cities for beidou large-scale application in the industrial and information technology field" (hereinafter referred to as the "notice"), aiming to select a group of cities with conditions and foundations to carry out beidou large-scale application pilot work, accelerate the improvement of beidou penetration rate, and promote the orderly upgrading of beidou equipment and applications to beidou iii.

unlike in the past, this notice clearly defines quantitative targets and pilot time limits for the first time:

(1) pilot cities must fill in the "implementation plan for beidou large-scale application pilot cities" as required, and propose operational, achievable and quantifiable goals;

(2) the pilot project will last for two years. upon expiration of the pilot project, the ministry of industry and information technology will organize an expert group to conduct an assessment and acceptance.

based on this, tianfeng securities judged that this pilot is mandatory and urgent. from the application point of view, the beidou system mainly serves industries such as transportation, public safety, and disaster relief and reduction, but the mass consumer field has the characteristics of large product scale and strong radiation effect, which is an important field for expanding the scale of beidou applications and increasing the application popularity.

huaan securities said that in addition to national defense and military industry, transportation is the most important application scenario for beidou, and it is recommended to pay attention to the incremental market:

(1) new scenarios and new demands, such as autonomous/assisted driving of passenger cars, low-altitude economic drones, and electric bicycle supervision;

(2) equipment updates in areas with strong security, such as heavy trucks, electricity, and finance;

(3) low-orbit interstellar enhancement brings long-term sea-going logic.

gf securities said that the national strategic level has increased support for commercial aerospace, and the satellite internet industry chain has been implemented from the establishment of the main body, the launch of experimental satellites, bidding, financing, the start of launch plant construction, etc. with the continuous strengthening of launch and manufacturing capabilities, large-scale networking is imperative in the next few years. high-value manufacturing links and ground terminal links with good positioning capabilities as networking is implemented will benefit greatly.
