recently, the opening performance of the first shunyi artistic chaobai cultural performance season, the classic dance drama "the orphan of zhao" by the china national opera and dance theater, was staged at shunyi grand theater. this season will feature 17 performances and 21 shows by famous artists and troupes, which will be staged at shunyi grand theater until november.

the first shunyi·yiyun chaobai cultural performance season is themed "chaobai literary charm, beijing new voice". it is the first international, branded, and high-end district-level special festival in shunyi with performances as its content. the opening performance "the orphan of zhao" tells the story of how loyalty and filial piety are difficult to achieve since ancient times through dance. the actors use superb dance skills and body language to vividly show the characters' choices between home and country, humanity and morality, emotion and reason.

this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the people's republic of china. shunyi grand theater specially invited the shanghai ballet to perform the classic red ballet "white-haired girl". at the same time, shunyi grand theater also joined hands with the china national opera and dance theater to invite the dance drama "the orphan of zhao", the folk music concert "mountain fantasy", the vocal concert "my motherland and me" of the china national opera and dance theater, and the folk chamber music concert "national charm and beauty" of the china national opera and dance theater to perform.

in addition, shunyi grand theater introduced the peking opera's "one play a week" brand and invited outstanding young actors from the peking opera to perform in shunyi. this season includes classic plays "the golden bag" and "lady city". meipai opera master hu wengeb will also star in "farewell my concubine", a series of performances in commemoration of the 130th anniversary of the birth of mr. mei lanfang and the 90th anniversary of the birth of mr. mei baojiu, recreating the beauty of the meipai.

this performance season also has a strong international flavor. the chilean aracaña folk ballet will appear in shunyi, and its dance evening will showcase the customs and cultural characteristics of south america.

in addition, the art popularization activities section of the performance season specially planned a total of 6 activities, including music master classes, dance workshops, and creators' meet-and-greet sessions. in terms of benefiting the people, shunyi grand theater launched more than 10,000 discounted tickets for more than ten performances, allowing ordinary audiences to enter the theater.
