in a recent interview with people's daily online, chanthavon hien amamondi, a member of the national people's congress of laos and vice chairman of the foreign affairs committee, expressed his appreciation for the important role played by the national people's congress of china in promoting the development of socialist democracy with chinese characteristics. he pointed out that on the international stage, the national people's congress of china actively participates in international organizations such as the inter-parliamentary union and makes important contributions to promoting world peace and development.

xian amamondi believes that full-process people's democracy is a form of democracy that conforms to china's national conditions and embodies the people-centered development concept. "every country has its own cultural traditions and development path. some people's misunderstanding of chinese democracy stems from their lack of understanding of china's national conditions. in fact, socialist democracy with chinese characteristics is based on the interests of the people and fully listens to public opinion. this is the broadest and most authentic democracy."

during their stay in china, the delegation visited the people's congress liaison station of xinghualing street, taiyuan city, shanxi province, and attended the consultation meeting on the "shanxi sports development regulations (draft)". xian amamondi emphasized that china has unique democracy and rule of law. the "grassroots legislative contact point" ensures that people from all walks of life fully understand the laws and regulations before they are established or revised, and listens to the opinions of the grassroots masses. "this method is conducive to promoting the construction of the rule of law." he believes that this rule of law method can not only serve the chinese people, but also provide important experience for other developing countries.

speaking of the lao-china relations, xian amamondi believed that the two countries are good neighbors, good friends, good comrades and good partners, and the exchanges between the two sides at all levels, including the party, government and parliament, are becoming increasingly close. he highly recognized china's support for laos in the fields of infrastructure construction, education, and medical care. xian amamondi specifically mentioned the china-laos railway, believing that it is a landmark achievement of the two countries' joint construction of the "belt and road". "the completion and opening of the china-laos railway has not only greatly facilitated the exchanges between the people of the two countries and the transportation of goods, but also created conditions for laos to transform from a 'landlocked country' to a 'land-linked country', which will help laos integrate into regional connectivity."

xian amamondi said that china's sustainable development path is worth learning from for developing countries. "china has achieved coordinated development in the economy, society, culture, environment and other aspects. especially in the use of clean energy, china has made important contributions to the global response to climate change."
