the 100-kilometer cycling route around miyun reservoir has become a destination that many cyclists and tourists yearn for with its beautiful natural scenery and rich cultural resources. this 100-kilometer route runs through 7 towns, 19 folk villages and 12 scenic spots with their own characteristics. it has both natural landscape beauty and profound cultural heritage.

during the summer vacation, i went to the miyun reservoir cycling trail to ride. while experiencing the beautiful ecological scenery, i also found some problems. the weather was very hot that day. during the mountain climbing and cycling, i was thirsty and tired, but there was no place to buy drinks along the way, let alone a place for people to rest. in order to improve the overall experience of the cycling route around the reservoir and attract more participants, i put forward the following suggestions for optimizing and improving the existing infrastructure:

first, leisure stations are set up at key points of the cycling trail. basic rest facilities such as seats and sunshades are set up at scenic spots on the cycling trail; simple catering services and local snacks are provided, and charging and toilet services are added; and travel maps around the reservoir are posted for browsing.

second, add special leisure areas that reflect miyun's cultural heritage. for example, the bailongtan scenic area along the route has a group of ancient buildings under municipal protection, each of which is a deposit of history that makes people stop and savor it. some display boards or electronic screens introducing local customs and practices can be set up here to enhance tourists' cultural experience.

third, add road signs and warning signs on complex routes. for example, there may be some unpredictable situations near beijianchang village on s313, and warnings and guidance need to be made in advance. at the same time, in order to ensure the safety of cyclists, it is recommended to strengthen the daily maintenance and management of cycling roads to ensure the flatness and safety of the road surface.

in addition, if conditions permit, a small commercial street can be built to allow cyclists and pedestrians to pass through, turning it into a small commercial complex, which can further promote local tourism economy and cultural exchanges.
