during the investigation, the street comprehensive administrative law enforcement team discovered that there was a building with a steel frame structure and a color steel plate roof on the roof of building no. 3, hepingmenwai east street, which was suspected to be an illegal construction.
"the building has an area of nearly 800 square meters and covers the entire roof of building 3. there are huge safety hazards in both the load-bearing structure and building materials," said a relevant person in charge of the law enforcement team.
according to the investigation, the building was built in 2001 and has long exceeded the temporary construction period. however, due to its long existence, the residents on the top floor of building 3 are concerned about whether the drainage, heat preservation and insulation functions of the roof will be affected after the illegal building is demolished.
"after coordination, we made it clear that after the illegal buildings were demolished, the roof would be re-laid with waterproof and heat-insulating layers to ensure that the living conditions of the residents would not be affected. finally, we obtained the unanimous support of the 15 households on the top floor of building 3." said the relevant person in charge.
at the construction site, the reporter saw that the demolition of illegal buildings has been basically completed. while the construction unit is finishing, it is also laying waterproof and insulation layers to ensure that the quality of life of the residents on the top floor of building 3 is not affected. in the next step, dashilan street will continue to promote the rectification and demolition of illegal construction on the fifth facade to create a better environmental order for the area.
