in recent years, state grid shanxi power has resolutely implemented the country's requirements for promoting the high-quality development of new energy, and actively served the grid-connected operation and orderly and healthy development of new energy.
during this period, the company strengthened research on renewable energy power generation and grid load characteristics, optimized prediction models around meteorological, safety, control, economic and other factors that need to be considered in grid operation, and improved the accuracy of grid load and renewable energy output predictions; fully tapped the flexible adjustment capabilities on both the source and load sides, and through a series of measures such as deep regulation and transformation of thermal power, flexible application of hydropower, participation of energy storage in peak regulation, and power demand response, the power system was made to "move with the new"; efforts were made to build new energy convergence channels, strengthen overall grid planning, and strive for synchronous planning, construction and commissioning of new energy projects and transmission channels.
in addition, state grid shanxi power relies on the power market to promote the efficient use of new energy. new energy is given priority in participating in power market clearing and power generation, and the five-in-one power market system of "medium- and long-term + spot + ancillary services + retail market + green electricity and green certificates" and "intra-provincial + inter-provincial" coordinated operation is used to maximize the promotion of new energy consumption.
so far, shanxi's power grid has installed 55.051 million kilowatts of renewable energy capacity, of which 29.555 million kilowatts are photovoltaic capacity, accounting for 25.1% of the total installed capacity of the provincial grid.
