recently, shandong normal university issued an announcement to publicize the undergraduate majors that will be cancelled in 2024. according to the announcement,shandong normal university will cancel 13 undergraduate majors including portuguese, photography, radio and television, broadcasting and hosting arts, and human resources management.
according to the requirements of the notice on the establishment of undergraduate majors in ordinary higher education institutions in 2024 (ministry of education general office [2024] no. 1) issued by the general office of the ministry of education, majors that have stopped recruiting students for five consecutive years and have no students on campus should, in principle, be revoked.
according to the announcement released by shandong normal university, the 13 majors to be cancelled have been fully demonstrated and opinions have been widely solicited. the public announcement period for the cancelled majors is from august 25 to september 1, 2024.
