the account had previously posted several videos involving plots such as "looking for the lost third sister", "arguing with the third sister", and "conflicting with the mother", and frequently interacted with several accounts claiming to be "third sister" and "eldest sister". the content posted by these "sisters" later covered topics such as arranged marriages by parents, preference for boys over girls, underage births, domestic violence, and becoming a domineering boss through business, which was highly suspected of being staged.

after investigation, the douyin team found that when the account claimed to have commissioned a lawyer to sue the biological parents, the background of the video was the front desk of a law firm. the platform verified with the law firm that the law firm had not received any relevant commissions, and checked the surveillance footage and found that someone used the background of the law firm to stage a video after get off work.
