according to red star capital bureau on august 28, haidilao (06862.hk) announced yesterday evening that it has appointed zhang junjie, founder, chairman and ceo of tea brand bawang chaji, as an independent non-executive director for a three-year term with an annual salary of 1.2 million yuan. the appointment will take effect from august 27.

haidilao announced that zhang junjie is mainly responsible for supervising the company's board of directors and providing independent judgment.

zhang junjie (formerly known as zhang jun), 29 years old, founded the chagee brand in june 2017. he is currently the chairman and ceo of chagee holdings limited and has over 13 years of operation and management experience in the catering industry. before founding chagee, zhang junjie worked at shanghai muye robotics technology co., ltd. (now known as shanghai noah mumu robotics technology co., ltd.) from july 2015 to march 2017, and later served as the deputy director of the cooperation department, responsible for the asia-pacific business. prior to this,zhang junjiehe once served as the regional deputy manager of yunnan dawei beverage co., ltd. and later as a franchise partner.

zhang junjiehis term at haidilao is three years, with an annual salary of 1.2 million yuan.
