IT Home reported on August 28 that technology media techradar reported yesterday (August 27) that Samyang launched the Remaster Slim lens, claiming to be the world's first "optical exchange" autofocus lens product.

Rather than having a completely separate lens, users can simply swap out the optics to achieve a different focal length. The Remaster Slim contains all the electronics necessary for communication between the camera and the lens.

Even with the optics inserted, it's one of the smallest autofocus lens systems around, measuring less than 0.8 inches / 2 cm and weighing just 2.82 ounces / 80 grams.

The Remaster Slim is available in three different optics: 32mm f/2.8, 28mm f/3.5, and 21mm f/3.5.

Each optical element can be easily attached to the position by magnetism, and Samyang claims that they can produce "warm and profound images that cannot be imitated in the digital world, giving photos natural and soft tones." IT Home attached the sample photos as follows:

This technology allows you to use lenses with various optical characteristics in one lens body, greatly increasing the flexibility of photo and video shooting and effectively saving space. The magnetically fixed bayonet mount is easy to replace and can be quickly changed according to the situation.

The Remaster Slim is currently only available in a Sony E-mount version and is currently only available in South Korea, with a 32mm f/2.8 optical lens priced at 308,000 won. There is no official news on availability in other markets yet.
