Our reporter Jiang Yan reports that you can feel the beauty of China while walking. After a six-day journey, the "Knowing the Beauty of China by Walking" Three Gorges Study Camp for Shanghai, Chongqing and Hubei Youths finally came to a successful conclusion. On the evening of August 25, the closing ceremony of the "Knowing the Beauty of China by Walking" Three Gorges Study Camp for Shanghai, Chongqing and Hubei Youths and the pairing activities of the youths in Shanghai, Chongqing and Hubei were held at the Yichang Youth Palace.
In the last trip, the campers climbed the Three Gorges Dam to feel the magnificence and power of the "national heavy equipment". The members of the Xinmin Little Reporter Group stepped onto the magnificent Three Gorges Dam and were deeply shocked by the spectacular scene before their eyes. Above the surging river, this world's largest water conservancy project stands tall, showing the miracle of human engineering. The children curiously observed every part of the dam, from the flood discharge dam to the power generation facilities, all of which reflected the harmonious coexistence of technology and nature. They carefully recorded what they saw and heard, exclaimed from time to time, and were full of respect for the builders of the Three Gorges Dam. This visit not only gave them a deeper understanding of the country's water conservancy projects, but also planted the seeds of exploring technology and respecting nature in their hearts.
Afterwards, the campers followed the footsteps of history and came to Qu Yuan's hometown, feeling the breath of millennium culture. In this poetic land, they seemed to hear Qu Yuan's "Li Sao" echoing in their ears, and felt his feelings of worrying about the country and the people. The children shuttled between the quaint buildings, listened to the guide's narration of Qu Yuan's life and the charm of Chu Ci, and gained a deeper understanding and knowledge of Chinese traditional culture.
In the evening, Li Renxi, a senior reporter from the Three Gorges Branch of Hubei Daily, rushed to the Yichang Youth Palace to give lectures to the campers of the Xinmin Little Reporter Group. He emotionally recalled the spectacular scene of the diversion channel interception of the Three Gorges Dam, as well as the media planning and on-site interviews. At the closing ceremony afterwards, he explained to all the campers why the Three Gorges Dam is called a national treasure, so that every camper present had a deeper understanding of this national project.
The lights on the stage were bright, and the campers and their friends from the Yichang Youth Palace presented a wonderful closing ceremony and social evening. Camp representatives from the Xinmin Little Reporter, Starlight Dance, Shimeng Painting, Science and Technology Chasing Light and other teams spoke on stage and shared their rich harvests from this study tour. Amid warm applause, the leaders of the Shanghai Youth Activity Center and the Yichang Youth Palace presented them with certificates in recognition of their efforts and growth. During the social event, campers from the study camp also donated books to the Yichang Mobile Youth Palace and Mobile Library, passing on the torch of knowledge and the warmth of friendship.
Even the most wonderful journey has an end. On the morning of August 26, the campers of the Xinmin Junior Reporter Group reluctantly set off from Yichang Three Gorges Airport to return to Shanghai. In this short 6-day trip, they not only gained knowledge, but also forged deep friendships. They agreed to meet again in Shanghai to continue the journey.
This study tour is not only an exploration of knowledge, but also an exchange of hearts. Witnessed by the Three Gorges Dam, the campers felt the power of the country, experienced teamwork, and gained the joy of growth. This journey will become a precious memory in their lives, inspiring them to keep moving forward.
