Recently, the 24th Fine Chemical Industry (Shaanxi) Conference and the 2024 China Top 100 Fine Chemicals Conference, co-organized by the China Chemical Information Center, the National Fine Chemical Raw Materials and Intermediates Industry Collaboration Group, and the China Chemical Intelligence Information Association, opened in Xi'an, Shaanxi. The "2024 China Top 100 Fine Chemicals" list was released at the conference. Shandong Jingbo Petrochemical Co., Ltd. once again ranked among the "Top 100 Chinese Fine Chemicals", ranking 72nd, up 12 places from last year.
Fine chemicals are not only closely related to traditional and livelihood industries, but also play a huge supporting role in strategic emerging industries. The selection of the top 100 fine chemicals aims to select outstanding enterprises, set industry benchmarks, and lead the development of the fine chemicals industry. Through this selection, we will promote the innovation and upgrading of the fine chemicals industry, showcase the style of advanced enterprises, and strengthen interaction and linkage within the industry.
The 2024 China Top 100 Fine Chemicals Selection will no longer use the industry categories and selection criteria of the previous five sessions. The industry category applies the categories in the "Fine Chemical Product Classification" standard officially implemented on August 16. The standard is organized by the National Fine Chemical Raw Materials and Intermediates Industry Collaboration Group and the China Chemical Information Center, and the original 11 categories have been increased to 37 sub-sectors; the selection criteria have been reset according to the characteristics, development stage, and policy orientation of the fine chemical industry, and the proportion of fine chemical business revenue and gross profit margin of participating companies has been increased.
Gao Yan, deputy general manager of China Chemical Information Center, said that in recent years, all countries in the world, especially industrially developed countries, have regarded the development of fine chemical products as one of the key development strategies for upgrading and adjusting the structure of the traditional chemical industry, and their chemical industries have all developed in the direction of "functionalization" and "fineness". Song Xianzhu, former deputy director of the Raw Materials Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the release of the "Fine Chemical Industry Innovation and Development Implementation Plan" has identified the development focus for the parties involved in the fine chemical industry chain, pointed out the direction for the fine chemical industry to become stronger and bigger, and put forward new requirements for all sectors of industry, academia, research and application. Li Shousheng, chairman of the fourth council of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, said that my country's fine chemicals should follow the three principles of "market demand, research and development foundation, and breakthroughs are possible", and focus on five key strategic areas such as electronic chemicals and catalysts according to the five action plans planned in the "Fine Chemical Industry Innovation and Development Implementation Plan", and make every effort to open up new blue oceans and bravely break through high-end breakthroughs. Luo Yamin, vice chairman of the National Fine Chemical Raw Materials and Intermediates Industry Collaboration Group, pointed out that my country's fine chemical rate was 49.7% in 2023, and it still faced problems such as insufficient innovation momentum and restricted development environment. In the face of these challenges, my country's fine chemical industry should actively explore innovation paths and optimize the development environment to enhance the core competitiveness of the industry and promote my country's fine chemical rate to a new height.
