Around the campus, colorful roads, city galleries, scenic corridors, garden scenes, and garden communities will be built, allowing teachers, students, and residents to see more trees, smell more flowers, and hear more birdsong.

The relevant person in charge of the Fangshan District Garden and Greening Bureau said that the total area of ​​the "Garden-style University Town" project is about 200,000 square meters, involving Liangxiang University Town and Changyang District, and the construction goal is "forests surrounded by gardens, and the city is full of fragrance". Specifically, around the main and secondary roads such as Baiyang Road, Yangguang Street, and Changyang Road, 11 colorful roads with "colorful trees and distinctive characteristics" will be built; around urban roads such as Binhe Road, Wenchang Road, and Fusheng Street, 18 "exquisite slow enjoyment, rich in flowers" urban galleries will be built; around the urban corridors such as the Fangshan Line of the subway and Jingliang Road, a 28-kilometer-long urban landscape corridor with "spatial integration, greening and coloring" will be built.

Around commercial complexes such as Liangxiang University Town FCC Central City, Shouchuang Outlets, and Xiyue Tianjie, Fangshan District will build garden squares, garden corridors, and garden pedestrian streets to create 25 scenes such as "vibrant, diverse, interactive and innovative" garden business districts and garden campuses. Concentrated residential areas such as Changyang Peninsula and Guangyang City will build 20 garden communities that are "comfortable and livable with rich landscapes."

In addition to these new projects, Fangshan District also plans to transform a number of green landscapes in Liangxiang University Town. For example, in Kangze Leisure Park, Shoukai Xiyue Plaza, Xiaoqing River and other park green spaces, 26 park green space upgrading and renovation projects will be carried out; in large-scale afforestation and greening plots such as the south side of Changyang Music Theme Park, the south side of Changyang Sports Park, and the west side of Binhe Road, ecological landscape improvement projects will be implemented, and 8 forest park transformation projects will be carried out; on the facades of the subway Fangshan Line urban rail rail bridge, river-crossing bridge, and overpass bridge along the street, 12 bridge greening projects will be implemented by adding flower boxes, planting ground covers and climbing plants, etc., targeting the bridge pier facades and the space under the bridge.

In the process of building a "garden-style university town", Fangshan District will highlight the characteristics of integration of industry, education, research and application, perfect balance between work and residence, academic home style, and vibrant and youthful urban area. It will coordinate and integrate existing linear spaces such as tree-lined roads, green trails, park roads, community group roads, and campus landscape roads, and plan to build a Liangxiang University Town Greenway and a Changyang New Town Greenway with a total length of more than 100 kilometers. It will also guide the organic weaving of district-level and community greenway systems to promote the formation of a characteristic greenway system of a "garden-style university town" and an overall greenway network in the central area of ​​Fangshan New Town.

After the completion of the characteristic greenway system of the "garden-style university town" and the overall greenway network of the central area of ​​Fangshan New Town, it will connect 5 universities, 9 subway stations, and 5 business districts, radiate to 20 important parks and green spaces along the line, and further promote the construction of a large ecological system with blue and green interweaving and city and green integration in Liangxiang University Town, and guide teachers, students, citizens, tourists and other diverse groups of people to "enter the garden, enter the green scenery, and enjoy life."

During the construction of the "garden-style university town", Fangshan District will continue to explore "diversified" garden city activities, use the "forest chief system" as an institutional guarantee, and rely on the "double registration" mechanism to continue to carry out the "a pot of flowers on the balcony, a tree in the courtyard, and a one-meter garden in the community" activities, promote the "community gardener" mechanism, create a good social atmosphere of "everyone is a gardener", and promote the co-construction, co-governance and sharing of the garden city.
