On August 27, Standard Chartered Bank announced the appointment of Lu Jing as President, CEO and Vice Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Standard Chartered China"), effective immediately. She will be responsible for managing Standard Chartered Bank's business in mainland China and report to Standard Chartered Bank's Chief Executive Officer for Hong Kong and Greater China and North Asia, Ms. Huen.
Zhang Xiaolei, former president, chief executive officer, vice chairman of Standard Chartered China and regional chief executive officer for China and Japan, has been appointed global co-president of Standard Chartered Bank's financial institutions business and will be based in Hong Kong.
Public information shows that Lu Jing has 30 years of industry experience and has held several senior management positions in well-known large Chinese and foreign banks. Since joining Standard Chartered in 2014, Lu Jing has served as Managing Director of Standard Chartered China's Corporate and Investment Banking Business and Deputy President of Standard Chartered China, playing a key role in promoting the continued steady growth of Standard Chartered China's Corporate and Investment Banking Business.

Standard Chartered Bank's latest financial report shows that in the first half of 2024, China's onshore revenue and offshore revenue excluding the impact of interest rate fluctuations both recorded double-digit growth, among which China-ASEAN and China-Middle East corridor business revenue also maintained double-digit growth. China continues to be the largest contributor to the group's network revenue.
