SGS is the abbreviation for the collection of three types of loans: sustainable development-linked loans, green loans and social responsibility loans. The Bank of China's official website recently announced that the Frankfurt Branch of the Bank of China successfully issued SGS bonds on August 13, with a scale of RMB 2.5 billion and a 2-year fixed interest rate.

The head of Bank of China Frankfurt Branch said at the listing ceremony held at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange that the RMB SGS bonds have received widespread attention and positive response from global investors.

Bank of China Frankfurt Branch is the first RMB clearing bank designated by the People's Bank of China in the Eurozone and the only RMB clearing bank in Germany. The RMB SGS bond framework follows the latest market standards, and the funds raised will be used for eligible SGS projects.
