The nuclear power plant located in the town of Energodar in eastern Ukraine has been occupied by Russia. Although the nuclear power plant is no longer in operation, electricity is still needed to cool the nuclear reactor.

In the absence of Russia's ability to supply electricity normally, the required electricity still comes from two transmission lines in Ukraine.

According to normal logic, Ukraine should have cut off power long ago, but because it is a nuclear power plant, even if it is not generating electricity, it still needs electricity to keep the nuclear reactor cool.

If Ukraine rashly cuts off power, the nuclear reactor may encounter major problems due to its inability to cool down.

So based on the above considerations, Ukraine has to continue to supply electricity until Russia can supply power to the nuclear power plant normally.
