In a new statement, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry urged the Belarusian armed forces to "stop unfriendly actions" and withdraw their troops from the border.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that Belarusian special forces and former Wagner mercenary fighters are also among the current Belarusian border troops. The Belarusian army equipment includes tanks, artillery, air defense systems and engineering equipment, and is currently deployed in the Gomel region near the northern border of Ukraine.

"We warn that if Belarus violates Ukraine's borders, our country will take all necessary measures to exercise the right of self-defense granted by the UN Charter," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "All troop concentrations, military facilities and supply routes in Belarus will become legitimate targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces."

In order to allay Belarus’ concerns, Ukraine stated in a statement that Ukraine “has never and will never take any unfriendly actions against the Belarusian people.”

Major General Andrei Lukyanovich, commander of the Belarusian Armed Forces' Air Force and Air Defense Forces, also said on Monday that the country had sent aircraft, air defense forces and armored units to the border with Ukraine.

Belarus has long been a close ally of Russia, but the Belarusian military has not previously been directly involved in military operations in Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the 25th that in the past 24 hours, the fighting between Ukraine and Russia was most intense in the Pokrovsk direction of the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian army repelled the Russian army in multiple directions, including Kharkov, Kupyansk, and Pokrovsk.
