Since the competition was launched on April 3, it has attracted nearly a thousand professional Wing Chun fighters and enthusiasts from all over the world to sign up and participate. The competition is held in 9 venues in Asia, Europe and America, with three stages: primary registration auditions, intermediate competitions and the finals. After fierce competition in the early stage, more than 170 Wing Chun fighters participated in the finals.

Zheng Zujie, representative inheritor of Wing Chun, a representative project of national intangible cultural heritage and president of Fujian Wing Chun Association, said frankly that the holding of this competition provides strong support for the exchange and mutual learning between Wing Chun, a traditional Chinese martial art, and Wing Chun enthusiasts from all over the world, and also provides a "golden key" for the sustainable development of Wing Chun culture. "Let the essence of traditional Chinese martial arts and Shaolin culture spread all over the world."

In the afternoon of the same day, the organizer also held an "Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance and Wing Chun International Cooperation Exchange Conference". The guests at the conference exchanged views on topics such as "The Origin of Wing Chun - Southern Shaolin in Fuqing, China", "The Way of Keeping the Middle Way Passed Down from Generation to Generation", and "The World Popularity of Using Martial Arts as a Form", and put forward suggestions for the international development of Wing Chun and the dissemination of Southern Shaolin culture.

As He Wenjin, Chairman of the 9th World Fuqing Hometown Association and Permanent Chairman of the World Southern Shaolin Wing Chun Competition Organizing Committee, said in his congratulatory message, he hopes that this competition will serve as a link to connect Chinese and foreign friends, fully experience the art and connotation of Southern Shaolin martial arts, and promote exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations.

Today, Wing Chun culture has spread all over the world, with more than 10 million practitioners, and is a "business card" of China's excellent traditional culture. This event is to make friends through boxing and to express feelings through martial arts. In order to continue the friendship established by Chinese and American teenagers in the event, Meng Qingfeng, the national Wing Chun director of the American Wushu Kung Fu Federation and the 8th Dan certified master of the International Wushu Federation, will lead nearly 15 American children to Baili Primary School in Fuqing City the next day to once again conduct martial arts cultural exchanges with Chinese teenagers.

Meng Qingfeng said: "It is very beneficial for young people to learn Wing Chun. Wing Chun emphasizes the Chinese philosophy of 'harmony between man and nature', which is not only beneficial to the boxing skills of Wing Chun Kung Fu, but also has positive significance for the way of life."
