On August 25, Beijing time, the Cangzhou Lions Club regrouped and began training and preparation. Former Chinese national football team captain Hao Junmin appeared in the training photos. It is understood that Hao Junmin will join Cangzhou Lions as an assistant coach, following Li Xiaopeng, who had previously coached him at Shandong Taishan and Wuhan Changjiang.

Cangzhou Lions Club press officer Zhao Boqing later confirmed the news of Hao Junmin's joining. He wrote on social media: "Welcome coach Hao Junmin to rush to the front line to provide assistance."

Hao Junmin was born in 1987 and is 37 years old this year. As the captain of the national football team, Hao Junmin played for Shandong Taishan for ten years. In July 2021, he followed Li Xiaopeng and joined Wuhan Changjiang Club as a free agent. In the 2022 season, Wuhan Changjiang had a falling out because of its long-term arrears of Hao Junmin's personal salary. Then in August 2022, Hao Junmin joined Guangzhou team as a free agent and helped Guangzhou team to stay in the league as a coach and player.

After Guangzhou was relegated, Hao Junmin returned to university and joined Cangzhou Lions at the invitation of Li Xiaopeng, with whom he has a close personal relationship. However, as the summer transfer window has closed, Hao Junmin has to wait until the winter transfer window opens even if he intends to return as a player.
