As Infiniti has stopped selling the Q70 and Q60 Coupe in 2019 and 2022 respectively, Infiniti has only one Q50 mid-size sedan left in its product line, which is also defined as the brand's entry-level model. Recently, overseas media also revealed that the brand's only sedan model will also be officially discontinued in November this year. In the domestic market, the Infiniti Q50L model may also be withdrawn from the sales series at the same time, and only the SUV model will be retained for sale for the time being.

It is reported that since Infiniti sold 44,007 vehicles in the United States in 2016, except for a brief increase in sales of the Q50 model in 2023, the sales of the Q50 model have been declining every year. As of the second quarter of this year, Infiniti Q50 sales were only 2,839 units, a decrease of 11.1% compared with the same period last year.

According to the brand plan, subsequent successor models of the Q50 series will be built on a new pure electric platform, and single-motor and dual-motor high-performance models will be launched for consumers to choose from; and the brand's SUV models will also be gradually converted to pure electric SUV models.
