On August 25, a reporter from Jimu News learned from Hubei Engineering Vocational College that the finals of the 2024 National College Students Integrated Circuit Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Vocational Skills will be held from August 10 to 12. The competition is hosted by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and co-organized by the National Advanced Semiconductor Industry Industry-Education Integration Community and the National Integrated Circuit Industry-Education Integration Community. The competition is divided into 9 corporate cup competitions, with more than 130 vocational colleges, more than 900 teams, and more than 2,200 people registered to participate in the competition. The three teams selected by Hubei Engineering Vocational College won 2 first prizes and 1 third prize after fierce competition.

Since the launch of this competition, the School of Electronic Information of the university has actively mobilized students to sign up, organized training and guidance, and finally selected three teams to participate in the competition. The reporter learned that the team composed of Zhang Wutie and Zhang Yueying from the applied electronic technology major, Li Ying from the integrated circuit technology major, Liu Kai from the electronic information engineering technology major, Chen Qian and Xiong Zhiwu from the integrated circuit technology major of Hubei Engineering Vocational College participated in the Robe Vocational Skills Cup, and both teams won the first prize; the team composed of Wan Zexin and Tian Dong from the integrated circuit major and Hou Chen from the electrical automation major won the third prize of the Ziguang Education Vocational Skills Cup of the competition.

The relevant person in charge of the school said that in the next step, the school will continue to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, insist on using competitions as a starting point, use competitions to promote learning and teaching, integrate classes and competitions, and continuously stimulate and enhance students' innovative practical ability, engineering quality and teamwork spirit, help students grow and develop, promote the school's "double high" construction, and provide talent support for Huangshi to accelerate the construction of an important growth pole in the Wuhan metropolitan area.
