On August 23, the freshmen of Zhenghe County No. 3 Middle School conducted queue training under the guidance of the instructor. On the same day, the freshmen of the school began military training, indicating that the high school department of Zhenghe No. 3 Middle School has officially resumed.
It is understood that the newly restored high school department of Zhenghe No. 3 Middle School is located in the former vocational middle school campus (Anqiao). It is a public, fully enclosed boarding high school. This year, it will enroll 216 new students in 4 classes.
In order to ensure the effective connection and smooth operation of the high school department, during the summer vacation, Zhenghe No. 3 Middle School organized a construction team to renovate the original secondary vocational school campus and purchase some high school experimental equipment.
"We used the summer vacation to actively promote the construction of the high school campus, and constructed and repaired infrastructure such as teaching buildings, dormitory buildings, and canteens to provide teachers and students of the third middle school with a better education and teaching environment." Ma Quanquan, secretary of the Party general branch of Zhenghe County No. 3 Middle School, said.
In 2017, the original high school department of Zhenghe No. 3 Middle School was closed due to a decrease in the number of students. In recent years, with the increase in the number of students, the Zhenghe County Party Committee and the County Government have regarded the restoration of the high school department of Zhenghe No. 3 Middle School as a practical project for the people, and have provided support in terms of teaching hardware and software facilities construction, funding guarantee, and teaching staff.
"Currently, there are 18 high school teachers. We went to Minnan Normal University to recruit scarce talents and recruited 4 teachers (including 1 graduate student). At the same time, we hired teachers with original undergraduate normal education and high school teacher qualification certificates from the junior high school department to teach in the high school campus to solve the problem of teacher shortage." Ma Quanquan said.
