China Radio International, Beijing, August 25 (Reporter Tang Jing) According to the Economic Voice of China Media Group's "World Finance" report, the special report "Accelerating Robots" launched its fourth chapter on the 25th: Turning "impossible" into "possible", how much room for imagination is there in the robotics industry?
In today's world of rapid technological advancement, the robotics industry is breaking through the boundaries of technology at an unprecedented speed, turning the once "impossible" into "possible". With the continuous advancement of artificial intelligence technology, robots' "brainpower" is constantly upgrading, becoming more "smart", and better able to understand and respond to human needs. At the 2024 World Robot Conference and Expo, robots demonstrated their abilities to sell goods, dance, play chess, write calligraphy, carry water cups, fold clothes, and perform surgery, many of which were previously impossible tasks.
Han Fuchang, a staff member of the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, told reporters that the Navigator II humanoid robot they developed has an intelligent "brain", the system's response speed is getting faster and faster, and it can also perform precise skill operations.
Han Fuchang said: "One of its main features is that it can achieve rapid learning and deployment. For example, in a supermarket, it can learn what actions to take in the entire scene and the corresponding interactive relationship through rapid social learning in the early stage, just like a human. At the same time, it can also access the voice model and have normal conversations with people, understand the needs of customers through communication, and give the corresponding drinks to the other party."

In addition to the increasing "brain power", robots have a wider range of application scenarios. Many scenarios that were not even dared to be thought of before may become a reality in the future. The "Top Ten Trends in Humanoid Robots" released by the 2024 World Robot Conference predicts that in the future, the application scenarios of humanoid robots will continue to expand and deepen, profoundly changing the production and lifestyle of human beings, and bringing disruptive changes to various industries. In the industrial field, it will be widely involved in the production links of dangerous operations, greatly improving production efficiency and safety; in special fields, it will become an important force in performing scientific research exploration, disaster relief, security inspections and other tasks in extreme environments; in the field of people's livelihood, it will also be fully integrated into people's lives, from providing housekeeping services to participating in medical assistance, and become an indispensable existence.
Fan Chunhui, deputy director of the Robotics Engineering Center of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, said that robots will accelerate their entry into more daily life scenarios and become "good helpers" in all walks of life.
Fan Chunhui said: "For example, in our life services, the quadruped robot can be used as a takeaway delivery boy to complete the 'last mile' delivery. After the driverless car arrives at the gate of the community, the quadruped robot at the gate of the community can complete the delivery to each unit building."
According to the International Federation of Robotics, the robot revolution will create a trillion-dollar market, which will effectively improve the level of economic and social development and people's well-being. Humanoid robots, with their wide range of application scenarios and huge development potential, are also expected to become another disruptive product after computers, smartphones, and new energy vehicles. So, when will robots usher in their "highlight moment" and enter explosive large-scale implementation?
Xi Yue, co-founder of Beijing Xingdong Jiyuan Technology Co., Ltd., believes that with the scale effect brought about by technological advancement and increased demand, the cost of robots will be greatly reduced. It is expected that within three to five years, the application of robots will usher in an explosion point for mass application.
Xi Yue said: "In the past two years, the development of humanoid robots has far exceeded our expectations. It is a vertical curve development. I think it may take more than 3-5 years. Maybe with the rapid development of technology, it may be faster than we think."

In the future, robots will become our "right-hand assistants" in life, which is worth looking forward to. Geng Zhanxiao, chief technology officer of Fuxi Jiuzhen Intelligent Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., said that the widespread use of robots is not to replace humans as some people imagine, but to better help humans.
Geng Zhanxiao said: "The puncture equipment we are making now is not intended to replace nurses. We are making the nurses' work easier, allowing them to better reflect their other values and free up their hands."
