Baoshan District conducts a drill on receiving evacuated people before war

In order to enhance citizens' national defense awareness and consciousness and strengthen the national defense mobilization system capabilities of towns and villages, Baoshan District recently held a matchmaking reception exercise for evacuated populations before war. The District National Defense Mobilization Office took the lead in organizing the four towns and villages of Wusong Street, Yuepu Town, Youyi Road Street, and Luojing Town to carry out the exercise, with nearly 350 people, including support personnel, evacuation personnel, and reception personnel, participating in the exercise.
The drill started at 8:50 a.m. that day. The drill was based on emergency incidents in some towns and simulated the evacuation of residents during wartime. The drill content was divided into the organization and command procedures for pre-war evacuation, the mobilization and organization of evacuees, the transportation of evacuees, and the reception and placement of evacuees. As the district commander issued the order to start the evacuation, a total of 100 residents of Haijiang Village 2 and Haijiang New Village West District of Wusong Street, led by guides, quickly arrived at the designated location, assembled and boarded the vehicles, and the scene was in good order. Under the guidance of the police car, the vehicles drove in orderly along the predetermined route.
After arriving at the reception point in Yuepu, Qing'an Village 4, the two sides conducted docking according to the established plan, brought the evacuated residents to the corresponding resettlement families, and prepared clean rooms, complete daily necessities and food for the evacuated residents. The exercise received active cooperation and support from the residents. Li Yaoshun, a resident of Wusong Street, said: "This exercise has strengthened our awareness of national defense. All residents actively participated. It is very good and meaningful. I hope we will continue to strengthen national defense education in the future." Gan Qiansheng, a resident of Yuepu Town, said: "National defense in wartime and peacetime are very important capabilities. We usually strengthen this aspect of training so that we can cope with it in the wars we may encounter in the future."
This exercise strengthened the national defense concept and awareness of the general public and enhanced their emergency response capabilities. During the exercise, the organizational coordination and comprehensive support capabilities of relevant departments were strengthened, and the feasibility of the plan and the command process of air defense combat operations by commanders at all levels were effectively tested. A relevant person in charge of the Baoshan District People's Armed Forces Department said: "This exercise is a comprehensive test of the capabilities of the national defense mobilization system of our district and towns, and it is also a powerful reinforcement; for the general public, it is also a very profound national defense education. Through this exercise, we can strengthen the national defense concept of the general public, enhance their combat awareness and response capabilities, and achieve the purpose of the exercise well. I believe that this exercise will further improve the wartime mobilization capabilities of our national defense mobilization system."
That afternoon, residents of Youyi Road Subdistrict were guided to evacuate to Yangqiao Village, Luojing Town, in the same procedure. As the headquarters lifted the alarm, the on-site commander organized the personnel to return safely and orderly, and the drill ended successfully.
