On August 22, the first "Beijing Central Axis" themed reading event was held in the terminal building of Daxing Airport, inviting guests from the literary and historical circles, passengers and readers to gather together to exchange their thoughts on reading and enjoy the wonderful experience brought by reading.
This series of activities is jointly organized by Daxing Airport and Capital Library, and is specifically located at the "Beijing Central Axis - Brilliant Cultural Context and Magnificent Central Axis" exhibition on the fifth floor of the terminal building. The event carefully selected a number of cultural books related to the Beijing Central Axis, covering rich content such as history and culture, heritage protection, urban construction marks, artistic aesthetics, and digital technology, aiming to fully display the past and present life and cultural heritage of the Beijing Central Axis, allowing passengers to deeply feel the strong charm of the Beijing Central Axis culture.
The first event invited Yang Liangzhi, a member of the Beijing Cultural and Historical Research Institute and a senior editor of Beijing Publishing House, to share the series of books "Beijing Central Axis Cultural Travel Guide" on site. Focusing on the main buildings of the central axis, garden landscapes, Beijing cuisine, traditional skills, celebrities on the shopping streets and other aspects, it vividly tells the story of Beijing's urban changes and cultural history. Travelers and readers actively interacted and shared their reading insights, and the on-site reading atmosphere was lively and rich. The event also adopted the form of live broadcast to share with the majority of netizens.
It is understood that on August 8, the "Beijing Central Axis - Brilliant Cultural Threads and Magnificent Central Axis" exhibition officially opened on the fifth floor of the terminal building of Daxing Airport. The exhibition will last for one year, all year round, and will be open to the public from 8:00 to 20:00 every day. This series of reading activities further promoted the inheritance and promotion of the culture of the central axis, gave full play to the resource advantages of Daxing Airport as an international aviation hub, and made cultural heritage deeply rooted in the hearts of the people through reading and communication, promoted air passengers' understanding and recognition of Chinese civilization, and demonstrated the good cultural image of the "new national gate".
