Reference News Network reported on April 10 that according to AFP on April 9, US President Biden expressed opposition to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's policies in the Gaza Strip on the 9th, believing that it was "wrong" and called on Israel to reach a ceasefire agreement.
"I think what he did was a mistake. I don't agree with how he did it," Biden said in an exclusive interview with Globo TV, responding to a question about Israel going to war.
The comments were among the harshest yet uttered by a U.S. president against an Israeli leader as the United States grows increasingly impatient with the humanitarian disaster unfolding in the Palestinian territories besieged by Israeli forces.
Biden also believed that it was "shameful" that the humanitarian aid convoy of the World Central Kitchen organization was targeted by Israel and resulted in the deaths of seven members of the organization.
"What I'm asking is that the Israelis allow adequate food and medicine to come in over the next six to eight weeks," Biden said.
Biden also said he had spoken to "everyone, including the Saudis, the Jordanians, the Egyptians. They're ready. They're ready to bring food in."
