The film is 250 minutes long and will be broadcast in five episodes. In the first episode, "The Way Out," people will see Lu Zuofu walk out of Hechuan when he was young and closely connected with many outstanding people; in the second episode, "People's Livelihood" and the fourth episode, "Lifeline," people will see him establish Minsheng Company, create a legend in the business world, and complete the feat of the Yichang Great Retreat; in the third episode, "Change" and the fifth episode, "Garden," people will see him devote himself to the construction of Beibei, turning the backward village into a "garden," and shouldering the mission of the scientific and cultural center of the rear area of ​​the War of Resistance.

The 4-episode highlight version "Scholar", "Ship King", "Commoner" and "Gardener" will premiere on CCTV-9 (documentary channel) at 19:22 from August 25 to 28. The 5-episode full version "Way Out", "People's Livelihood", "Change", "Lifeline" and "Garden" will be broadcast simultaneously on iQiyi at 19:30 starting from August 25.
