Shandong universities will start the new semester on August 24. On August 23 and 24, three universities in Tai'an issued statements in succession, saying that false information about the school's confession wall, universal wall, know-it-all, and freshman group appeared on various online platforms, which had a negative impact on the school, and reminded teachers, students and parents to raise their awareness of prevention to avoid being deceived.
"Recently, the college has discovered that accounts named 'Taishan Vocational and Technical College Confession Wall', 'Taishan Vocational and Technical College Universal Wall', 'Taizhi Confession Wall (Taishan Vocational and Technical College)', 'Taishan Vocational and Technical College Know-It-All', 'Taizhi Whale Sea (Taishan Vocational and Technical College)', 'Taizhi Junze Senior', 'Taizhi Changqing (Taishan Vocational and Technical College)' have appeared on online platforms such as WeChat, QQ, Douyin, Kuaishou, and Xiaohongshu. Some accounts have established similar groups such as 'Taishan Vocational and Technical College 2024 Freshman Group'. Such accounts, without the official authorization of Taishan Vocational and Technical College, arbitrarily used the school's Chinese and English names and logos, published non-college official announcements and related information, and engaged in advertising marketing for profit and the release of false information, which has had a negative impact on our college." On August 23, Taishan Vocational and Technical College issued a solemn statement.
Coincidentally, Taishan Nursing Vocational College and Shandong Fashion Vocational College successively issued statements saying that the school has never authorized any organization or individual to conduct activities such as "confession wall" in the name of the school. Some self-media accounts have used the name and logo of the school without authorization, which poses risks such as advertising marketing and false information.
