At the end of summer vacation, children are flocking to the World Robot Conference. "I didn't expect so many young children to come, stretching their necks and standing on tiptoe, watching with great interest." An exhibitor at the Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center said to reporters with emotion.

"This robot can not only smile and feel sad, but also make contemptuous and angry expressions!" In Area B of the exhibition hall on the first floor, Wang, a second-grade primary school student, carefully observed the three bionic robot heads displayed in the glass box. This is the first bionic robot head in China with high degree of freedom and immersive interaction developed by Beijing Songyan Power Technology. It can be installed on entertainment guides, service companions or psychotherapy robots.

Student Wang observed the facial features of the bionic robot head and exclaimed: "This is completely different from the cold robot I imagined before. Look at the ears, they look exactly like my father's!"

"Xiaofei, please help me get the Coke on the table!" More than a dozen children gathered in front of the iFlytek humanoid robot booth. The 1.7-meter-tall, 60-kilogram humanoid robot demonstrated actions such as grabbing Coke, pouring coffee, and "wiping sweat" with a towel. Sometimes it could even step like a human and interact with the children.

"My child had only seen robots in picture books before, and now she finally saw one with her own eyes." Ms. Li told reporters that she brought her 4-year-old daughter to the exhibition specifically in the hope of giving her child an introduction to robot science.

In fact, the humanoid robot market has a broad imagination space. According to the "Humanoid Robot Industry Research Report", the scale of China's humanoid robot market will reach 75 billion yuan in 2029, accounting for 32.7% of the world's total.

The seemingly niche and professional industrial robots were the most popular stars among the "little kids" at the event. At the booth of Yantai Aichuang Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., more than 20 children surrounded one side of the demonstration area. Some children were not even as tall as the glass railings, but they also tried to hold on to the glass and stand on tiptoe to watch. It turned out that they were watching a demonstration of four-machine joint spot welding for new energy vehicles:

Four 210-kilogram independently-innovated six-axis robots, connected to an integrated welding clamp and group control system, worked in perfect harmony and efficiently completed the thin-plate welding of a new energy vehicle body.

"So cool! No wonder our country's new energy vehicles are so amazing now!"

A 7-year-old boy told reporters.

In the corridor between Hall A and Hall B of the Convention and Exhibition Center, the 2024 World Robot Competition - Youth Robot Design Competition is also in full swing. Moving boxes, loading, unloading, pushing... In a robot competition with the theme of smart logistics, six groups of primary school students are busy operating robots to move 10 transport boxes into storage within 150 seconds.

"Come on!" "Hold on!" "Success!" The children watching outside the field closely watched every move of the robot, and cheered as long as the transport box was successfully put into place. The reporter learned that a total of 44 teams from all over the country came to Beijing to participate in this event.
