In order to further strengthen the management of homestays, standardize their business operations, and improve their service quality, Dali Town, Dali City, Yunnan Province has recently stepped up its inspection efforts and jointly carried out a concentrated rectification campaign with the public security, market supervision and other functional departments. As of August 21, 42 homestays that operated in violation of regulations have been closed.

Dali Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Dali City, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located in the west of Dali City, facing Erhai Lake to the east, connected to Xiaguan Town to the south, and backed by Cangshan Mountain to the west. The ancient city of Dali, which has a long history and profound cultural heritage, is located in this town and is one of the important tourist attractions in Yunnan Province.

According to the Dali City Media Center, in the early stage, the relevant functional departments of Dali Town conducted a comprehensive investigation in different areas and groups around the processing of homestay licenses and sewage discharge. In response to the problems found during the inspection, law enforcement officers issued notices reminding operators of illegal operations and safety hazards, reminding operators to conduct self-inspections and make rectifications on their own.

During the concentrated rectification period, law enforcement personnel will rectify behaviors of inadequate rectification and non-cooperation with the rectification work, and will close down homestays and inns that operate without authorization, do not meet operating conditions, and refuse to rectify.

In the next step, Dali Town will continue to increase the supervision of homestays, urge operators to strengthen their awareness of law-abiding, safety and risk awareness, carry out business activities in accordance with laws and regulations, and maintain a healthy and orderly tourism market environment.
