The first batch of HIMARS multiple rocket systems from the United States will soon arrive in Taiwan. Lai Ching-te threatened to speak to the mainland's strength. As soon as he finished speaking, the Eastern Theater Command said: The battle will start at midnight. What dangerous remarks did Lai Ching-te make again? What are the latest actions of the Eastern Theater Command?

In recent times, there have been frequent actions in the Taiwan Strait. On August 22, the US Navy's "Johnson" missile destroyer passed through the Taiwan Strait. In response, the Eastern Theater Command responded quickly, emphasizing that the People's Liberation Army would monitor and guard the US warship's passing throughout the entire process and deal with it in accordance with the law.

Moreover, according to local media reports, the first batch of 11 HIMARS multiple rocket systems purchased by the Taiwan authorities from the United States will arrive in Taiwan before the end of this year. As one of the main weapons used by Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the arrival of HIMARS will undoubtedly greatly boost the arrogance of "Taiwan independence" elements.

At the same time, we also noticed that American politicians also visited Taiwan continuously this month, which sent out very unusual signals.

In the previous video program, we talked about how, on August 11, Democratic Congressman Strickland led a delegation to visit Taiwan, met with Lai Ching-te, Hsiao Bi-khim and others, and emphasized in words and deeds that this trip demonstrated the so-called "US support for Taiwan."

On August 21, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley also led a delegation to Taiwan in the name of attending a security forum and met with Lai Ching-te. As a former UN representative, Haley is certainly familiar with UN Resolution 2758. However, in front of Lai Ching-te, Haley called for "making Taiwan a formal member of the United Nations" and criticized mainland China for not preventing Taiwan from participating in the affairs of international organizations.

As the U.S. election draws closer, it is obviously no coincidence that delegations from both parties have visited Taiwan one after another at this time. The United States frequently plays the "Taiwan card" and woos Lai Ching-te, clearly wanting to hype up issues related to China and canvass votes for the election.

With this kind of "support", Lai Ching-te's attitude has become increasingly arrogant. In his meeting with Haley, Lai Ching-te accused the mainland of "suppressing and isolating" Taiwan. He also claimed that with the so-called "support" from the United States, "Taiwan will have greater strength to confront the mainland."

On August 23, Lai Ching-te even laid his cards on the table in a public speech, saying that Taiwan had given up on "counterattacking the mainland," but at the same time, Taiwan also "refuses to be ruled by the mainland."

These remarks are undoubtedly typical "Taiwan independence" remarks. Even the island's media United Daily News commented that Lai Ching-te's remarks are not "releasing goodwill" at all, but "drawing a clear line with the mainland."

On the same day when Lai Ching-te made his erroneous remarks, the Eastern Theater Command happened to issue a notice titled "The Battle Begins at Midnight", disclosing the latest situation of the People's Liberation Army's cross-day and night combat training. According to information from air traffic control, the PLA's Z-10 also went deep into the Taiwan Strait to carry out combat missions this time.

The PLA’s night combat training not only has important practical significance, but is also highly targeted.

In March of this year, the Taiwan Air Force announced that in response to the current situation, each squadron will carry out "cross-midnight flight training" to enhance the troops' night combat capabilities.

But in fact, the Taiwan military does not have enough strength to cope with such high-intensity training. Experts on the island pointed out that due to the inadequate performance of military aircraft and the quality of soldiers, night training is very prone to accidents, and people on the island have criticized the DPP for "disturbing the people."
