On the morning of August 23, our province held a ceremony in Guang'an to present a wreath to the bronze statue of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, commemorating the 120th anniversary of Comrade Deng Xiaoping's birth, remembering Comrade Deng Xiaoping's immortal contributions to the Party, the motherland, and the people, learning Comrade Deng Xiaoping's lofty style of unremitting struggle for the cause of the Party and the people, and expressing the confidence and determination to hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics and strive to write a new chapter of Chinese-style modernization in Sichuan under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core. Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, Tian Xiangli, Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC, and relevant leaders of the Western Theater Command and the Western Theater Command Air Force presented a wreath to the bronze statue of Comrade Deng Xiaoping. Shi Xiaolin presided over the wreath-presenting ceremony.

The square of Deng Xiaoping's bronze statue was solemn and majestic, with lush green pines and cypresses. At 9 a.m., the ceremony officially began. Accompanied by the soulful "Flower Offering Song", the honor guard lifted five flower baskets and walked towards the bronze statue of Comrade Deng Xiaoping with firm and powerful steps, escorted the flower baskets to the statue and gently placed them down. The flower baskets were presented by the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, the Provincial Government, the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, the People's Liberation Army and the Armed Police Force stationed in Sichuan, the provincial committees of various democratic parties, the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and representatives of non-party personages, relatives of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the four leading groups of Guang'an City and people from all walks of life. The golden characters "Deeply remember Comrade Deng Xiaoping" on the red ribbon of the flower basket shone brightly, expressing the endless remembrance and high respect of cadres and people of all ethnic groups in the province for Comrade Deng Xiaoping.

Wang Xiaohui and others walked forward slowly with solemn expressions, carefully arranging the ribbon of the flower basket. The whole audience stood in silence and bowed three times to the bronze statue of Comrade Deng Xiaoping. Afterwards, the provincial and military leaders walked in front of the bronze statue of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, circled it, and looked at it with deep affection.

After the wreath-laying ceremony, Wang Xiaohui, Shi Xiaolin, Tian Xiangli and others walked to the Deng Xiaoping Former Residence Exhibition Hall and Deng Xiaoping Memorial Hall for a visit. Along the five units of the exhibition hall, "Leaving Guang'an", "Military Career", "Hard Exploration", "Extraordinary Years" and "Creating Great Achievements", everyone listened carefully to the explanations, relived Comrade Deng Xiaoping's great, glorious and legendary life journey, and remembered his immortal contributions to the independence and liberation of the Chinese nation and China's socialist modernization. In the memorial hall, everyone viewed relevant cultural relics, pictures, documents and restored scenes of Comrade Deng Xiaoping's work and life during his lifetime, and stopped to gaze from time to time, remembering and learning from Comrade Deng Xiaoping's noble character and style of unremitting struggle for the cause of the Party and the people.

Relevant leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, Provincial Government, Provincial CPPCC, the President of the Provincial Court, the Procurator General of the Provincial Procuratorate, relevant leaders of the troops stationed in Sichuan, responsible comrades of relevant provincial departments, leaders of the provincial committees of democratic parties, the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and representatives of non-party personages, cadres from Guang'an City and representatives of the masses from all walks of life attended the meeting.
