According to the person in charge of the event organizer Jingcai Company, the lantern festival design exhibited more than 200 sets of large, medium and small creative lantern groups, setting a record in the history of the Beijing Lantern Festival in terms of exhibition period, lantern festival scale, lantern group specifications and lantern group design.

As a national intangible cultural heritage, Zigong lanterns are on display again in Beijing. The lantern festival has nine theme exhibition areas, including Festival Songs, Beijing Colorful Avenue, Splendid Rivers and Mountains, Beijing Trendy Colors, Colorful Children's Dreams, Beijing Opera, Glorious China, Phoenix Dances in the Sky, and Beijing Colorful Lifestyle, with more than 200 sets of lanterns on display, including 75 sets of large and medium-sized lanterns, and a total of 100,000 lantern pendants.

This lantern festival has a strong Beijing flavor, and 70% of the lantern groups are tailor-made for Beijing. The Zigong Lantern Festival is innovatively integrated with Beijing culture, allowing cultural relics, Chinese paintings, poems, Peking opera and other Beijing-style cultures to shine again with creative lantern groups, creatively interpreting the old Beijing scenery, the style of the times, festival customs, etc., so that tourists can immerse themselves in the charm of Beijing's unique culture and traditional Chinese culture while enjoying the bright lanterns. For example, "Light of the Central Axis" brings together the essence of the ancient buildings on the central axis of Beijing, the "Beijing Scenery" theme lights show the old Beijing Hutong culture, and the "Beijing Melody Spring and Autumn" lantern group presents Beijing's traditional folk culture.

Many groundbreaking lighting sets will also be on display at this lantern festival. They are not only ingeniously designed and uniquely shaped, but also have achieved new breakthroughs in creativity and technology, bringing unprecedented visual enjoyment to tourists.

For example, the "Phoenix Dances in the Sky" light set is the world's first light set made of "colorful blow-molded paper + transparent acrylic" and cut through cutting technology. The "Phoenix" is 10 meters high and has 40,000 feathers on its body. It was cut by more than 20 Zigong lantern craftsmen in two months. The cutting volume of a 7-meter-long phoenix tail feather alone reached tens of thousands, and the total cutting volume of the light set reached 8 million. The phoenix neck also uses mechanical transmission technology, allowing this auspicious and colorful "king of birds" to nod to the audience frequently and send the best wishes to the motherland and the people.

In order to enrich the public's experience of viewing lanterns and visiting the garden, this lantern festival also set up more than 150 special shops, covering time-honored brands, intangible cultural heritage, cultural and creative industries, catering and food, etc. Among them, the Jingcai Lifestyle Collection area introduced Internet celebrity catering brands and many companies under the Beijing Tourism Group to create a food paradise; cultural and creative stores were set up in exhibition areas such as Festival Songs, launching products with innovative attributes and traditional cultural characteristics.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day as well as regular exhibitions, the Lantern Festival will also host more than 20 themed activities including singing and dancing, drama, and national trend culture, as well as rich interactive activities such as intangible cultural heritage DIY, lantern riddles, and poetry challenges.

In order to ensure that visitors can get the best viewing experience, the organizers set up special transportation lines, shuttle buses and expanded parking spaces. Visitors can also scan the QR code of the light group or call the service hotline to get timely information about the lantern festival and get help.

The person in charge of the organizer said that this lantern festival is not only a cultural feast for the people of Beijing, but also a new opportunity to promote the integrated development of Beijing's cultural industries. Through the new scene of the lantern festival, the lantern culture will be inherited and carried forward, the spiritual and cultural life of citizens will be enriched, cultural confidence will be further enhanced, and the "Chinese story" and "Beijing story" will be told to the world.

It is understood that this lantern festival is hosted by Beijing Jingcai Culture Co., Ltd., with special support from Beijing Radio and Television Station and Beijing Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
