On August 21, the Dafang Fire Rescue Brigade, in conjunction with the Dafang County Public Security Bureau, the County Health and Family Planning Bureau, the County Market Supervision and Administration Bureau and other departments, conducted a comprehensive fire safety inspection on a number of schools in the jurisdiction.
The joint inspection team checked whether the fire safety evacuation signs, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and other fire-fighting facilities and equipment were intact and effective; whether the electrical wiring was in compliance with regulations; whether the emergency exits and evacuation passages were unobstructed; whether the fire safety system and safe electricity use measures were implemented; whether fire extinguishing and emergency evacuation plans were formulated and drills were organized regularly, etc., and randomly asked individual staff members whether they had mastered fire safety knowledge, etc. In response to the problems found during the inspection, the joint inspection team explained to the relevant persons in charge and staff, and put forward reasonable rectification opinions, requiring them to rectify within a time limit.
Through this joint inspection, not only did we comprehensively check the fire safety hazards existing on campus, but we also further enhanced the cooperation and coordination capabilities of all relevant departments. In the next step, Dafang Fire Department will continue to increase supervision and urge schools in the county to implement rectification measures to effectively improve the level of campus fire safety management.
