A seminar on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil was also held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the launch ceremony of the book "Brazil and China: 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations".

Fausto Pinato, chairman of the Brazilian-Chinese Congressional Front of the Brazilian Congress, delivered a speech at the meeting, saying that China and Brazil have played an active role in the global governance process in recent years. Ambassador Zhu Qingqiao said in his speech that over the past 50 years, the two sides have always respected each other, treated each other as equals, and cooperated for win-win results, promoting the sustained, stable and in-depth development of bilateral relations. In April last year, President Lula visited China, and President Xi Jinping and him jointly led the opening of a new era for China-Brazil relations. Today, the two heads of state sent congratulatory messages to each other on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, emphasizing that the two sides will take this as a new starting point and give new contemporary connotations to China-Brazil relations. That night, landmark buildings in Brazil's capital Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro, Manaus and other important cities lit up red, yellow and green lights representing China and Brazil to commemorate the friendship between the two countries over the past half century and to wish a brighter future for China-Brazil relations.
On August 17, actors from Zhejiang Wu Opera Art Institute performed at the China Day event of the Beach Art Festival in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.
On August 17, the Brasilia Beach Art Festival held a special event for "China Day", with nearly 10,000 Brazilians watching the special Chinese performance. The Zhejiang Wu Opera Art Institute presented traditional Chinese art with opera programs, and the Brazilian band creatively performed many classic Chinese songs in the local pop style, winning endless applause.
Amid the cheers of the audience, hundreds of drones formed the Chinese and Pakistani national flags, the logo celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, "Amizade (Friendship)", pandas, the Great Wall and other dazzling patterns in the night sky, vividly conveying the friendly friendship between China and Pakistan across mountains and seas. The Brasilia Beach Art Festival is one of the largest cultural events in Brazil. China was specially invited as the guest country in 2024. A Chinese-style park covering an area of 45,000 square meters was built, which cleverly integrated traditional Chinese cultural elements with modern urban landscapes and displayed a photo exhibition of "Beautiful China, Beautiful Brazil". This season's Brasilia Beach Art Festival is open to the public from June 28 to September 22, and is expected to attract a total of 300,000 participants.
